I graduated from Northern Michigan University in May of 2004 with honors and started teaching preschool in the fall.  I taught preschool at our local Head Start for 3 years.  I then accepted a teaching job within a local school district and taught preschool for one school year.  The preschool then closed and that brought me to the YMCA.  I am currently the Child Care Director and I over see all the child care operations.  I supervise two sites and 14 staff.  I write the budget and keep track of expenses.  There are currently over 50 kids enrolled within the two sites.  I love being with the kids, my office door is never closed to kids, staff or parents.  I love having the kids help me, I usually have one on my lap at any given time.  I take swim lessons with them and involve myself with the kids whenever possible.  I am excited to show off all my hard work and knowledge that makes me who I am.

I live in Bark River, Michigan with my Husband of 10 years, my 5 year old daughter, baby #2 on the way in June, 2 dogs (Hunter and Rhiley) and 1 cat (Sagwa).  My house is very busy and I love it.  My daughter started Kdg this year and she was very excited and nervous.  She is doing great and I am very proud of her.  She is extremely excited to meet her baby brother, she has big plans for him.
